All eyes will be on Farmers Cross this Sunday as old rivals Cork Harlequins and Cork County clash for the second time in the Munster Senior League.
It was Cork County that came out on top by four wickets last time around in what was the first outing of the season. On that occasion Bruce Koch and Keith Banks rescued the city side with the bat as they nearly faltered chasing a tricky low total on an early season pitch.

However, both sides have been struggling to find form of late having lost two matches each in recent weeks. With vital league points at stake, this is likely to be a firey affair which will make for entertaining viewing for the large crowd expected at the Cork Harlequins venue.
Cork County will have new signing Shannon Madden making his long anticipated Munster league debut and it will be a baptism of fire for the young Australian keeper-batsman as he is thrown into what is one of Cork sport’s most heated rivalries.
Cork Harlequins captain, Cormac Wilcox, will be hoping he can call upon the services of aggressive all-rounder Cory Atkinson, who has been unavailable for the last two outings, while the rest of the line up is likely to remain the same as that which lost against Limerick Raiders a fortnight ago.
Midleton will be looking to continue their ascent towards the top of the Munster Senior League table this Sunday, but in their way stand a WIT team that are capable of causing an upset or two.
The Deise side have already got the better of league leaders Cork County this season and possess some explosive cricketers in the form of Sunil Kumar and skipper, Rashid Munir, who are more than capable with ball and bat respectively.
But Midleton also have some talented cricketers in their line up who, should they perform, will have too much fire power for the visiting students. Geoff Hitchmough has been scoring runs for fun at the top of the innings for the east Cork outfit and the return of Chris Gomesz from injury gives them extra pace with the new ball.
